Wille Olander
Who are the people that make up Zitac? Under the heading "Getting to know...", we introduce our amazing employees. Now, let’s mix things up and say hello to Wilhelm "Wille" Olander from Stockholm. Wille has been working for many years in the Secure Cloud team here at Zitac and is our leading Veritas NetBackup expert, with extensive experience in other backup solutions and various IT infrastructure.
To us, he’s a truly great guy (who could easily be from Gothenburg) with an impressive pedagogical skill set and a deep baritone voice.
How do you usually describe your job when someone asks what you do?
Backup and Storage. Then I gauge their tech knowledge. But I usually say I consult, install, support, and maintain clients' backup systems to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What are you great at?
I'm good at explaining how things work. I started teaching computer classes to younger students in elementary school and have continued with IT training ever since.
How long have you worked at Zitac?
Since 2014 when Zitac opened a Stockholm office.
How would you describe Zitac as a workplace?
Zitac has great colleagues and a wonderfully positive staff policy: if the employees feel good, the company thrives, and the customers are happy! I really appreciate that mindset.
What's the best part of your job?
Coming to work, meeting colleagues, chatting, talking with customers, and figuring out how to solve their problems.
What's your most used app on your phone?
Besides Authenticator, Duolingo is at the top. I’m planning to take my wife to Paris and need to brush up on my school French.
Do you collect or have you collected anything?
No collector mania, but I do hold on to everything, so I need to work hard on letting things go.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I’ve sung in a choir and can liven up the company party with a drinking song. Oh, and I can fold a rabbit or a frog out of paper.
