David Arvidsson<\/h1>\n

David has been working in the IT industry since 2011 with a focus on Enterprise Mobility. He has now joined Zitac as a Solution Architect in Unified Endpoint Management, with a focus on \"Modern Management\" for macOS and the mobile operating systems iOS\/Android. We asked David some questions on the subject to get to know him better.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Vem \u00e4r David och vad har du f\u00f6r bakgrund? What is your background?
\n<\/strong>I have been working in the IT industry since 2011 with a focus on Enterprise Mobility, which includes system support for device management, apps, and security related to iOS & Android. Today, this is part of Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and also includes more types of clients\/devices and operating systems.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What led you to Zitac?
\n<\/strong>I wanted to work in a smaller IT company because I feel that they are more personal and agile when it comes to change. I also think it's great that there is a great focus on employees and that Zitac wants to position themselves as specialists in their various technology areas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

What is your role and focus?
\n<\/strong>I am a Solution Architect in UEM, with a focus on \"Modern Management\" for macOS and the mobile operating systems iOS\/Android. My future focus will be to build up services and knowledge in this area at Zitac and help customers work smarter and more securely with device management.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why do organisations need to work with \"Modern Management\"?
\n<\/strong>There are several angles to this, historically it was largely about gaining control and overview of mobile devices that often existed outside of physical offices. Companies needed to be able to activate security features, delete and locate devices, but also facilitate user access to apps and company data on mobile devices.<\/p>\n

\n

Today, when we work from home offices and hire employees in other locations where there is no physical office, it is almost a prerequisite to use UEM and Modern Management to be able to automate and secure the devices that employees will use.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Reduce administration and IT support by establishing processes where employees can set up their devices themselves through self-service, which automatically sends out settings and configurations. Device management is also needed to smartly automate OS and application updates, reducing the risk of data breaches. By combining device management and identity management, secure access and easy login to company apps and data in the cloud can also be enabled.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Which type of organization do you think would benefit the most from UEM and why?
\n<\/strong>Almost all organizations that use smartphones and laptops - especially those who want to reduce administration and support and those who have a strong focus on cybersecurity and have \"remote work\" on their agenda - have the most to gain from investing in UEM.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What trends do you see in the future and how will it affect the development of UEM?
\n<\/strong>We will work more flexibly, remote work and home offices will continue to trend.<\/p>\n

A clear trend is that the use of Mac has significantly increased within companies in recent years, and it will continue for a while. One reason for this is that employees have higher demands for choice in terms of which work tools they want to use, which creates better productivity and also strengthens the employee brand, making the company a more attractive employer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

There is a higher focus on cybersecurity in today's society, according to several surveys, this is a highly prioritized area in the future. More and more companies are striving to move towards and maintain a \"Zero-trust strategy.\" There are several areas that are affected by this, and here, device management becomes an important piece of the puzzle to provide secure access to the organization's applications and data in the cloud.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
